How we write and check our content
Legal lines come from the regulation
We keep a log of the rules our pages use. Each entry names the state, the instrument, the provision and the version, quotes the text word for word, and records who read it and when.
A page prints a legal line only from a logged entry. If an entry has not been read in the current text, the page shows a link to that state's regulator.
We never claim a document meets the law or will pass a builder's check. The regulator, and the builder on the day, decide that.
Review dates
Each page shows when it was last checked and when it is due again. We re-read the regulations at least every three months, and sooner when a state announces a change.
We do not change a page's date unless its content changed.
AI drafts
Our drafts are written by AI from the job you describe. A draft is a starting point: you check it against the site and your crew before work starts, and you finalise it.
Examples and comparisons
Businesses, people and sites in our examples are fictional. Comparisons with other products state the date they were checked and use only facts from public sources.
Corrections
If something on a page is wrong or out of date, email us with the page address and what is wrong. We check it against the source, fix it, and update the page's review date.
