SWMS in Australian Capital Territory

In Australian Capital Territory, a SWMS (Safe Work Method Statement) is the written plan for high-risk construction work. This page quotes what Australian Capital Territory's Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations say about it, provision by provision, with the version we read and the date.

A business carrying out high-risk construction work must make sure a SWMS for the work has been prepared before that work starts.

The SWMS itself

Writing, reviewing and keeping it

What it must contain

A SWMS must identify the high-risk construction work, the hazards and risks, the measures that control those risks, and how the controls will be put in place, monitored and reviewed.
